About 2 months ago, I attended the orientation week in Monash as a new student. Sad to say that it was a disaster. I can't activate my authcate account due to some technical issue so everything was delayed. In the end, I only manage to make my student card 2 days later than it was scheduled.

People in Monash weren't helpful at all. They did not help much with the problem that i'm facing. One department refer me to the other and the other department to another. From that, I can justify that Malaysian's efficiency level is very low.

Anyway, things are getting better now. But I dislike the environment in Monash because it's very depressing. For now, the only thing that i'm looking forward to is the international student exchange program. Will be applying it next semester and hopefully everything goes well.

2008 memories...

2008 is when I did my foundation year in Melbourne. Being alone in a foreign country makes me more independent and it was such a memorable year to me. I remembered very clearly each and every details of what I had gone through that year.

English classes is one of the most enjoying classes among all the other subjects. I remembered a week before Melbourne Cup, our english teacher, Rob asked us to participate in the sweepstake that he organised for our class. And each of us would pay 50 Cent for a piece of paper with a horse number written on it. We were asked to keep the paper as the winner will only be known the following week.

And guess who is the winner?!!

To my surprise, I won 1st and 2nd place. It was incredible isn't it??

Not just the fun that I experienced during foundation that makes it unforgettable, there were much more that makes me look back at these days a lot.

As promised, an update for my new room.

Pictures was taken a month ago so my room might look a lil different now. But you can roughly know how I furnish the room based on the space given.

Glad that all the furnitures fitted well where it was supposed to be placed.

BEFORE

The condition of the room was pretty bad as you can see above. The paint was worn out and there's a lot of tiny hole on the wall. So I decided to paint it and get rid of all the existing furniture and replace it with the new ones.

AFTER

After spending days painting the room, at least there is a slight improvement. Not only the furnitures has gotten rid, but the air conditioning has been replaced too. And the room looks much better now.

Secret Recipe @ Chapel Street

On a Thursday evening, the boyfriend called Secret Recipe beforehand to order a white chocolate macadamia cake to be collected that weekend. And guess what happened when we arrived at Secret Recipe? We were told by one of their waiter that they had forgotten our order.

To be honest, I just can't be bothered with how people in Australia work anymore. Are they dumb or what?! They can't even get a simple job done. I can foresee Australia won't be successful. And i'm wondering why on earth there's so many people who wants to migrate here. Tell me, which restaurant on earth would forget their customer's order apart from Australia.

Being in Australia for almost 3 years, i'm used to how disrespectful and snobbish most of the waiters/waitresses can be in Melbourne. Especially INDIAN GIRL. First was in TastyThai and secondly in Wagamama, Chadstone. Please treat everyone equally, will you?! What's the point of treating the whites so good when they actually look down on you and probably are disgusted by you. DUMB. I can assure you, as long as you still have that fucking attitude of yours, you're not gonna be successful.

Since the boyfriend and I are already here, we decided to have lunch at Secret Recipe first then collect the cake. Fyi, this is the first or second (I don't know) Secret Recipe that has recently opened in Melbourne. And I noticed that there's another one opening soon in Melbourne Central. Here in Melbourne, they don't even have clothing brands like Zara, Topshop or Forever21. How sad can Australia be?! Anyway, i'm just glad that I will be heading home for good in exactly 10 days.

My day in Melbourne

For those of you who don't know, I'm actually back in Melbourne again for holiday + visiting my boyfriend. I already had my MELB - KUL ticket booked on the 12th of Nov long time ago. And since I've already paid for it, I thought why not just come here for the last time and that ticket wouldn't go to waste.

I arrived Melbourne on the 27th of Sept which is a week ago. Life here I would say so far so good. And I've been a really happy girl these few days. Anyway, on an unrelated note, I would be getting myself a Multicolour Sarah Wallet from LV. I'm just hoping they would have the item in stock. Let's see whether I have the luck or not.

I have a sudden urge of getting a braces but I'm still considering. I would love to have a perfect smile but thinking of what I have to go through just for that perfect smile are just too much. Especially the pain that I have to bear and the amount of money spent. I wouldn't mind spending on other stuff like handbag or what not but just not on braces.

On a side note, the reasons why I'm lazy to blog was because my layout is so boring and ugly. I would love to have a nice layout to keep my interest going so am gonna work on that. I swear I'm gonna blog more often from now on.

I'm going for a hair cut tomorrow at The Hair Factory, Bukit Tinggi. Not sure whether they are good or not as tomorrow will be my first hair cut with them. Just wanna get my hair trim as the last hair cut that I had was months ago.

Apart from that, I started going for facial. Main purpose was for the extraction. It feels good after having a facial. At least, my face feels cleaner each time after I attended a facial session. Hopefully after months of going facial, I'll get the desire result.

I'm very fortunate to have a very understanding boyfriend. Knowing myself very well, if things doesn't go well as we planned, I'll be in a bad mood in split second. At that moment, I realise that I have a very good partner by my side, because no matter what, he will always be there for me.

And I would like to thank him for always being there for me and helping me out all the way through. I miss him a lot. Life without him for a few months was torturing.

Just hope that i'll get to see you soon!

Snorkelling in Phi Phi island

This post is the continuation of Phuket 2009.

FYI, the booking that we made for this trip includes snorkelling activities. These activities were held on Day 2 which happen to be the same day that we have to wake up at 6 in the morning to get ready as the tour bus will be arriving at 7. Soon after we got ready, we head on to the cafe at the hotel for breakfast. We were one of the earliest there.

Nipa Resort is where we stayed and the pool area was really nice. Unfortunately, we didn't get the chance to swim as we are out most of the time.

It takes about 2 hours to reach Phi Phi island. Boy, the journey was long considering the ferry that we were in was disgusting especially the restroom! But once you reach Phi Phi island, everything was heavenly. The water was crystal clear and the scenery over at Phi Phi island was beautiful. The downside of this beautiful island was the heat. It was unbearable as you can feel that the sun was boiling down on you.

There are also accommodation available in the island.

The experience that I had planning and going for this getaway is something that I would remember. After researching everything about Phuket from flights to hotels, I have discovered that it is easier to just get a holiday package as you do not need to go through all the hassle of finding everything individually.

Furthermore, it will be a wise choice to get a package that includes options of activities in Phuket that you prefer. However, if you do not book everything in advance, the locals in Phuket might rip you off unless you are very good at bargaining for a better deal.

Overall, this trip has been an enjoyable one and it is worth every penny that we spent.

Ever since I cancelled my enrolment last week, I got very busy with my application with Monash. But now that it's done, i'm just hopping that they would accept me. *fingers crossed*

So from now on, i'll be very free for the next six months till my semester commences. And that explains why i'm sitting in front of the computer blogging at this time.

Anyway, when I was going through all the pictures in iPhoto, I personally fell in love with the one taken in Phuket last summer.

Winter break is coming to an end and soon I'll be back in Melbourne. To be honest, Melbourne is not where I want to be so each time I departs from KL, I have this bittersweet feeling. A part of me is happy because I get to meet Danial, a part of me is sad because I'll have to study really hard throughout my day in Melbourne because knowing how much the education in Australia cost made me realise that by getting just a credit isn't enough.

Anyway, I've already timetabled myself for next semester classes and result will be out in 4 days time. Overall, it feels nice to have a long holiday after each stressful semester even though I didn't achieve much during this holiday.

Having thought of what I wanted to do during my summer break has given me a headache. It's a decision between going for a holiday getaway or doing an internship. If I were to choose doing an internship, it requires at least a duration of 3 months which I cannot spare. And obviously, a holiday getaway would be a wiser choice if only it didn't burn a hole in my pocket. On top of that, I was trying to save up to get myself something special (shall reveal after purchasing this item).

Or should I consider taking up German language classes??

Busy holiday

Mom is here with me in Melbourne for about a month. That explain why I do not blog so frequently nowadays. Been going out a lot lately, out in the morning and back after dinner. Mostly to shopping malls.

As for today, we went to Westfield, Doncaster. By far, this is my favourite shopping mall in Melbourne.

They have huge department store such as Myer, David Jones, Big W, Target, Coles and Woolworths under one building.

Overall, life is pretty occupied after exams as we were out almost everyday. To be honest, it's quite tiring to travel up and down everyday by public transport because it takes ages to reach one destination. It seems like a never ending journey to me.

Spotted quite a nice hood today in Forever New. Unfortunately, it's out of my size.

P.S: Will be watching Sex and the City 2 tomorrow.

Privacy Please?!

People should learn how to give others some privacy. I dislike the idea of people coming to your place to check on you when you're actually paying the rent on time and keeping the place clean and neat most of the time. What's there to inspect?! It's not like things will change if they inspect the place. I'm furious because this is not the first inspection that has occur this year but in fact, this will be the second inspection of the year.

On a brighter side, the Juicy Couture iPhone case that I ordered online has finally arrived. It's pink in colour and I love it so much!

I just got myself an iPhone 3G[S] today. It was a very sudden decision of mine but the good thing is that I got it at a very good deal since i'm an existing 3 customer. Quite happy with the purchase.

Exam is approaching real soon and I've been studying like hell for the last few days. Did I mention that I really dislike studying?? It wasn't my thing to begin with yet I've been force to do it. Anyway, let's forget about that.
